Before submitting, authors are invited to check the alignment of their manuscript with JESR’s scope and adhere to the guidelines below.
Accepted Manuscript Types
- Original Article: Empirical or theoretical study including problem statement, objectives, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion.
- Review Article: Narrative, integrative, systematic review, or meta-analysis based on an explicit method.
- Case Study: In-depth analysis of an institution, territory, program, or innovation.
- Methodological Note: Presentation of a tool, indicator, protocol, or method.
- Educational Policy Analysis: Documented evaluation of a policy, reform, or initiative.
- Perspective or Conceptual Article: Well-argued proposal of a framework, reading, or research agenda.
- Policy Brief: Short paper translating scientific findings into practical recommendations.
- Letter to the Editor: Brief scientific reaction to a published article or topic of interest.
- Book Review: Analytical critique of a recent and relevant book.
Languages and Formatting
Manuscripts may be submitted in Arabic, French, or English. The title, abstract, and keywords must be provided in the manuscript language as well as in at least one other language of the journal; a third abstract is encouraged.
Layout should remain simple:
- Recommended Fonts: Times New Roman 12 (French/English); Simplified Arabic 14 or 16 (Arabic).
- Formatting: 1.5 line spacing; standard margins; numbered pages.
- Visual Elements: Tables and figures must be numbered, titled, cited in text, and include sources.
- Footnotes: Footnotes should be limited to essential information.

Bibliographic References
The adopted citation style is APA, 7th Edition. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa. References should be merged into a single alphabetical list. DOIs and permanent URLs must be provided where available.
